About me:

In my work, I have shown that as a result of the simultaneous operation of the law of progressive complexity and the principle of emergence, markets and economies tend spontaneously to a certain distinguished state called the edge of chaos. My current focus is on multidisciplinary issues related to renewable energy.

I regularly participate in scientific conferences organized by the Society for Chaos Theory in Psychology and Life Sciences (Pewaukee, WI, USA), the Polish Physical Society – Section Physics in Economics and Social Sciences (PESS), as well as the Congresses of Polish Economists organized by the Polish Economic Society. I am a long-time member of these scientific societies, and since 2014 I have served as a member of the Board of Directors of the PESS Section.

In 2004, for writing the book From Keynes to Chaos Theory. The Evolution of the Theory of Business Fluctuations, I received the Bank Handlowy in Warsaw SA Award for Outstanding Achievements in Theoretical Thought in the Sphere of Economics and Finance, known as the Polish Nobel Prize in Economics. I was also awarded a medal and the title of Most Famous Pole of the Year 2004. In 2022, the Multidisciplinary Digital Publishing Institute (Basel, Switzerland) awarded me the prize for the best article published in the scientific journal Entropy. The paper is titled as follows: The Role of Entropy in the Development of Economics.

Since 2020, I have been the Topic Editor of the scientific journal Sustainability, and in 2022 I became the Guest Editor of the special issue of Sustainable and Low Carbon Development in the Energy Sector of the scientific journal Energies.

I regularly give lectures and seminars at various scientific institutions, where I present the results of my latest research.
