About me:
Piotr earned a Ph.D. in Economics from European University Institute (2014) and M.A. in Economics from Warsaw School of Economics. In his research, Piotr combines microeconomic theory of with empirical research. His work focuses on the impact of market structure on commodity prices and food security. In his research, Piotr shows how supply shocks such as challenges to the supply chain or regional climate policies affect global (commodity prices) and local markets (e.g., access to credit for the affected sector).
Piotr is also interested in applications of alternative data sources in economics. Piotr has co-authored chapters in academic encyclopaedias and handbooks on the application of Big Data in economics and finance.
